I don't need a killer graphics card by all means, I need something for under $20 that can just use to display things. I'll b planning on running Mac OS X 10.3 (Or 10.2) and I just need something so the machine will work.
So nothing fancy, just an ATI PCI card, the G3 currently has some PCI graphics card that came with my PowerMac 9600/233, it says "Twin Turbo 128 MA Rev 3.7" on it, and has the old Mac style port, not VGA. I might sell the PowerMac 9600 so I'll want to put back it's original card and get a cheap one for the G3. :)

I have Call of Duty 2 which really is great fun on Multiplayer, but I'm looking for something new.
I purchased Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth II but am not enjoying it very much, so I will return it tomorrow and swap for something else. Supreme Commander looks so cool but I am worried about how it will perform... it says it needs a 256 meg Vid Card recommended and I like my games to look good... Is Medieval II any good?
oh, and I quite enjoy strategy games. Civilization IV is highly recommended too... and I love Civ III.

The recruitment seminar is really relaxed and you will get through it as long as you be yourself, engage with the recruiters and other people there and ask plenty of questions at the end regarding the job. Don't come over too much as a hardcore Apple fanboy but talk about how much you can't put down your iPhone/iPod. During the group exercises, make sure you try and come over as a good leader but good team player at the same time - make sure that your ideas are part of the main focus but be sure to agree with ideas that you wish you though of. Otherwise, just enjoy it as it's really relaxed and you will spend most of the two and a half hours watching a presentation, videos and doing some group exercises. They get through hundreds of CV's at a time and to get the chance to be considered is a good achievement. Just out of interest, what store are you thinking of joining and what position are you after?

I've always heard the 6pin variant referred to as FW600 while FW400 was reserved only for the mini 4pin which doesn't have power. I realize it may not be technically correct but it's always allowed easier differentiation between the two connectors.
I've always heard of the 4-pin being referred to as iLink on Sony devices or mini firewire everywhere else.
I thought FW400 and 800 refer to the speed, so 600 makes no sense to me at all.

I have two boxed white ones, one with a rare outer shipping box and it came with some additional Pippin literature which can be seen on my Flickr account.

Might be there for 5 or 6 AM. Have a full day of work that starts at 9 AM and includes going out of town in the afternoon. Can't be sure I'll be up and alert enough to go later in the evening to pick-up. Plus it looks like fun
Same here, leaving on a flight at 2:30, but I don't have to work (I'm a grad student). I was hoping I could show up at 7 am and wait however long it takes and get the phone and still make my flight. I am guessing I don't have to stay up overnight to do that, and hopefully I can still meet cool Mac people.

The code to change videos to links in quote posts seems to affect still images also. Quotes in the DP forum swap the image with an link reading "image". Is this intended or not?

That's my best design so far :o I saw this guy on techtv who happened to take 8 plasma displays (his work gave them to him for free) and a mac mini to make virtual windows in his house. Pretty awesome concept. Having guests around, hearing them say "woh... your neighbourhood is beautiful", when really you live in apartment up against a brick wall :p
It would be neat to mod that somehow with Sims 2. Make it feel like you're "in the game." Then again, your guests may start to think that you "have no life." ;)

I saw some at Office Depot a week ago or so for around $179 "on sale" all colors.
Let your fingers do the walkin', call around to see if some stores still have unsold stock. That'd be my best guess.

I have two internet connections here, one via GBit-Ethernet to my Mac Mini and a slower one connected to my WiFi router. I just bought a wireless printer, thus I need to connect the Mini to the WiFi to print.
I think this is not explicitly specified, but which connection will be used to route to the internet? It would be unfortunate to use the WiFi, as it's about 5 times slower.
Can I set the wired connection to be default for all connections, and route only the traffic that really has to go into the WiFi? All that comes to mind at the moment is removing the gateway/router address.
Better ideas?
